There are many useful resources you can use to help assist you whilst learning to drive, or even before you learn! Below are some of the books usually recommended to learner drivers.
A good place to start is with the Official Highway Code. This book contains all the rules, laws and guidance you need to know of separated into categories.
This book provides guidance for car drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, motorcyclists and horse riders.
There is a lot of information to take in. Don’t worry, though, as you’ll learn most of the rules during your driving lessons.

When driving, you’ll encounter many traffic/road signs, and it’s vital you know what they mean. This book will give you all the information on traffic signs and what they mean, so you’ll never been unprepared on the road.

Driving The Essential Skills gives you information on everything to do with driving. From getting set up in your car and sorting insurance, to explaining how everything works in the car. This book also goes through everything you can expect to deal with when driving.

The Official Theory Test book gives you all the information needed to get prepared for your theory test, but is also helpful for when you get behind the wheel.
